Marcus E. Watkins is vice president and chief revenue officer at Washington Hospital Health Care District, overseeing patient access; hospital, professional and ancillary billing; health information management; coding, clinical documentation, revenue integrity; and managed care contracting.
With more than 20 years of experience in revenue cycle leadership, managed care strategy, and health care financial operations, he leads initiatives that enhance affordability, improve billing transparency, and strengthen collaboration between providers, payors, and the communities.
He holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in health services from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Bachelor of Science degree in legal studies from Chapman University in Orange, Calif.
