THE HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM'S WAITING LIST FOR 2026 IS NOW OPEN AS OF MARCH 25,2026. Note that you will receive an email if you made the list and volunteer opportunities are limited to need.
Instructions to join the Waiting List are:
- Student must be 16 years of age to be on the list. Verification will be required.
- Send email to volunteer_services@washingtonhealth.com with the following information:
- Subject line to read potential Volunteer's name
- In the body of the email please add the following:
- Student Name
- Current grade at time of email and school name that student attends (IF YOU ARE IN YOUR SENIOR YEAR, please do NOT apply as the onboarding process is long. Please join our college volunteer program after you graduate in 2026
- Cell number
- Email address
Once the waiting list is at capacity, it will be closed. Then an invite for the Prospective Volunteer Information session will be sent depending on volunteer needs at Washington Health.

The Washington Health Service League volunteers work closely with Hospital professionals to help provide care and support to Washington Health patients, families and visitors.
"Random Staffing" Volunteering
Random staffing is a way to volunteer at Washington Health. We are always seeking new adult members who are looking for an opportunity to volunteer on the days and times that work best for you. With this new program, volunteers don't have to make a long-term commitment to a set schedule. Now, you may sign up online for the date and time that fits into your personal schedule. If you are interested in joining us, please attend the next Volunteer Information session.
