As medical director, UCSF physician Bogdan Eftimie, MD, oversees cancer services at Washington Health.
Together with referring providers, Washington Health and UCSF Health aim to redefine what is possible in cancer care while significantly improving the lives of the patients we serve.
A cancer diagnosis understandably causes fear and unease, and naturally you will want to find the best possible medical care to treat it. That’s exactly what you’ll receive as a patient at Washington Health’s Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. We treat a wide range of cancer types with advanced treatment designed for optimal outcomes delivered by board-certified physicians who specialize in oncology.

Accredited by the Commission on Cancer Since 1993
Commission on Cancer Mission
The Commission on Cancer (CoC), a program of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS), recognizes cancer care programs for their commitment to providing comprehensive, high quality, and multidisciplinary patient centered care.
The CoC Accreditation Program
CoC accreditation encourages hospitals, treatment centers, and other facilities to
improve their quality of care through various cancer-related programs addressing the full continuum of cancer—from prevention to survivorship.
Each cancer program must undergo a rigorous evaluation and review of its performance and compliance with the CoC standards. To maintain accreditation, cancer programs must undergo an on-site review every three years.
Value of CoC Accreditation
Programs can proudly demonstrate to their communities, providers, payors, and the government that they have invested in systems aimed toward cancer patients receiving high-quality, coordinated care, and that they have made the efforts for supportive services and resources addressing the full continuum of care are available in their communities.
