Kimberly Hartz, MSc
Chief Executive Officer

Kimberly Hartz is chief executive officer, a position she has held since 2019. A respected industry leader and strategic thinker, Hartz has served the organization for more than 30 years.
Much of Washington Health’s recent growth and community response is attributed to Hartz, who has overseen many strategic initiatives, including expansion of the Washington Health Medical Group, implementation of a Level II Trauma Center, and the expansion of the organization’s clinical and academic collaboration with UCSF Health.
A strong advocate of community engagement and the importance of locally governed health care, Hartz devotes her time to several regional and statewide healthcare organizations. She serves on the Executive Committee of the District Hospital Leadership Forum, is a Board Member of the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California and serves as Board Chair of BETA Alliance Insurance Services. She also has been an active member of Niles Fremont Rotary Club since 2003 and served as Club President in 2011-2012.
She earned a Master of Science degree in management and industrial relations from Oxford University, England and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Stanford University, Palo Alto, with an emphasis on organizational behavior. She was named to the 2025 list of Women Hospital and Health System Presidents and CEOs to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
