Our general orthopedic services include:
- Arthritis treatment: About one-third of American adults have arthritis. This condition causes stiff, immobile, and painful joints. There are more than 100 different forms of arthritis and your orthopedist can work with you to find the appropriate treatment plan. Options may include anti-inflammatory medications, corticosteroid injections, assistive devices, and lifestyle changes such as weight loss may be recommended. Some arthritis cases are so severe that they require surgical treatment such as a total joint replacement.
- Arthroscopic surgery: These minimally invasive operations allow patients to recover more quickly, as the incisions are much smaller than those utilized in traditional open surgery. The fiber-optic arthroscope instrument used in arthroscopic surgery is inserted through the small incision used for diagnostic or treatment purposes.
