A Supportive Place to Welcome Your Baby

The birth of your baby is a special and personal experience. At Washington Health’s Birthing Center, you’ll be cared for by an experienced maternal-child health team dedicated to supporting you and your baby throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.

Our team is here to listen to your questions, understand your preferences, and help you feel informed and supported throughout your stay. OB hospitalists are available in-house 24/7, along with nurses and other support staff who are here to help with your care and answer questions about labor, delivery, and recovery.

Care for You and Your Baby

We provide care designed to support both you and your baby from birth through your transition home. As a Baby-Friendly designated hospital, Washington Health provides breastfeeding support, including access to lactation consultants who can help you get started and answer questions along the way.

If your baby needs additional medical care after birth, our Special Care Nursery (Level II NICU) is available to provide specialized care and support.

Every birth is different. Our team strives to provide respectful, inclusive, and culturally responsive care while working with you and your support person throughout your stay. Washington Health's Maternal Child Advisory Council brings patients, families, and health care teams together to help promote safe, equitable, and inclusive birth experiences.
