Accredited Breast Care

The Washington Women’s Center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a voluntary accreditation recognizing breast centers that meet rigorous standards for comprehensive, coordinated breast care.

Your Breast Cancer Team

Breast cancer care often involves several specialists. At Washington Health, our Breast Tumor Board brings together experts from different areas of breast cancer care to review cases and develop treatment recommendations.

Your team may include radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, primary care physicians, gynecologists, and plastic surgeons. Working together helps ensure your treatment plan considers your individual diagnosis and needs.

Surgery

When surgery is part of your treatment, our surgeons and plastic surgeons work together to provide surgical and reconstructive options. Your care team will explain your options and help you determine the approach that is right for you.

Radiation Therapy

The Radiation Oncology Center provides advanced radiation therapy for breast cancer.

Three-dimensional imaging helps the radiation oncology team precisely target treatment while limiting exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. A nurse navigator helps you understand and coordinate your radiation treatment plan.
