UCSF – Washington Cancer Center

The affiliation between Washington Health and UCSF Health provides oncology patients with access to the latest cancer research, technology, and treatment in a comforting and convenient environment.

As medical director, UCSF physician Bogdan Eftimie, MD, oversees cancer services at Washington Health. The Cancer Care Center provides inpatient and outpatient care.

Together with referring providers, Washington Health and UCSF Health aim to redefine what is possible in cancer care while significantly improving the lives of the patients we serve.

Dr. Eftimie earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University, his internship and residency at Loma Linda University and his fellowship at the University of California San Diego. His clinical interests include gastrointestinal, lung, melanoma, and benign hematology.

Our cancer care partnership also includes the Washington Radiation Oncology Center (ROC). Led by medical director and UCSF health radiation oncologist, Victor Chen, the ROC’s multidisciplinary team uses leading-edge treatment planning and delivery systems. Dr. Chen collaborates and works closely with physicians at the UCSF – Washington Cancer Center and others in the community.
