Introducing the New Washington Health Podcast Series

Washington Health is announcing the transition of its bimonthly Health & Wellness Series from traditional PowerPoint presentations to a dynamic podcast format to enhance accessibility for its community. Designed to address important health topics, the new podcasts will feature a conversation-style format with a subject matter expert clinician alongside a colleague who works closely with them, fostering a more relatable and informative discussion on timely health issues.

The podcasts will air every two weeks at 8 a.m. on Thursday mornings starting July 16 and will be accessible thereafter on YouTube at YouTube.com/@washington_health. This change aims to cater to the busy schedules of community members, offering flexibility to listen at their convenience on various devices and platforms, such as phones or computers. Listeners can watch the exchange unfold or listen to the podcast while multitasking during commutes, workouts or even dog walks.

“The new podcast format aligns with our mission to deliver exceptional, accessible, and personalized care to enhance the health and well-being of our diverse community,” said Washington Health Chief Executive Officer Kimberly Hartz. “By leveraging the familiarity and convenience of listening to podcasts, we can reach a wider audience, ensuring that important health information is available to everyone, in a time and place that best fits their schedule.”

The decision to adopt podcasting is rooted in the health system’s commitment to innovate and improve health literacy within the community enhancing the health of the community. The conversational nature of podcasts not only encourages a more personal touch, but also allows for in-depth exploration of topics ranging from mental health and nutrition to chronic disease management.

Washington Health’s team of dedicated clinicians is excited to share their expertise in this new format. Each episode will feature lively discussions, practical health tips, and answers to frequently asked questions. This collaborative approach promises to shine a light on various health topics in a manner that is both enlightening and understandable.
