Bio
Sukhjinder “Sonia” Virdi, DNP, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of diverse clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. She is passionate about building trusting relationships with patients, promoting wellness, and providing comprehensive, patient-centered care through collaboration and evidence-based practice.
Sonia earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Samuel Merritt University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Langara College in British Columbia, Canada.
Her clinical background includes primary care, hematology and oncology, chronic disease infusion therapy, internal medicine, dermatology, thrombosis care, and palliative care. Sonia has experience performing patient assessments, managing treatment plans, educating patients and families for preventative and chronic care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized care.
Sonia’s approach to patient care focuses on creating a supportive and trusting environment where patients feel heard, informed, and empowered in their healthcare journey.
Outside of work, Sonia enjoys travelling back home to Vancouver, BC, baking, playing field hockey and just enjoying quality time with close family and friends.
