Curt Comstock, MD

Dr. Curt Comstock is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and a dedicated trauma surgeon committed to helping patients recover from serious injuries.

Based at San Jose Regional Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, Dr. Comstock specializes in treating traumatic injuries, particularly complex injuries of the arms, legs, and pelvis. His surgical practice includes everything from routine procedures to complex reconstruction of severe injuries. He works closely with the trauma team and other medical specialists to carefully plan each patient’s treatment and achieve the best possible outcome.

Dr. Comstock earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan before completing medical school, a five-year orthopaedic surgery residency, and a one-year fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the University of Texas at Houston. He joined the UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery faculty in 2017.

What Dr. Comstock finds most rewarding is caring for patients with serious injuries, including multiple fractures and head injuries. Working alongside the trauma team, he helps repair their injuries and supports them throughout their recovery so they can regain their mobility and return to their daily lives.
