HERS Breast Cancer Foundation (“HERS”) is a nonprofit organization that has supported Tri-Cities breast cancer patients since 1998. Its mission is to support all individuals healing from breast cancer by providing post-surgical products and services regardless of financial status. Its work is sustained, in part, through grants and fundraising events.

HERS Certified Mastectomy Fitters ensure that patients feel welcome and understood no matter where they are in their breast cancer journey. The Foundation is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics and is a DME provider. The HERS team works closely with patients to develop treatment plans and set goals and expectations; examples of products provided include:

• Post-surgical camisoles
• Standard and custom breast prosthetics for patients who have undergone partial and full mastectomies
• Specialty bras designed to securely hold breast prosthetics 
• Compression bras, arm sleeves, gloves, and gauntlets that alleviate the symptoms of lymphedema
• Full and partial wigs for patients experiencing hair loss

Most post-surgical products are covered by medical insurance, and the HERS team can assist patients with medical billing.
