Interventional Radiology
The Interventional Radiology Team at Washington Health is able to provide comprehensive vascular and interventional radiology services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Our team of fellowship trained Interventional Radiologists offer the highest level of IR services in the region, performing cutting-edge procedures using minimally invasive techniques to optimize patient outcomes. The team practices the full spectrum of interventional procedures, with extensive expertise in vascular, oncologic, pain, and GI interventions.

Arterial Disease
- Angiography with angioplasty and stenting (abdominal/visceral)
- Angiography with atherectomy, angioplasty, and stent placement (peripheral vascular disease)
- Aneurysm and pseudoaneurysm treatment
- Embolization for bleeding
- Aortic endoleak management and treatment
Venous Disease
- Deep vein thrombosis/pulmonary embolism treatment: mechanical thrombectomy and thrombolysis
- IVC filter placement and removal
- Stenting for venous compression syndromes (May-Thurner)
- Varicose vein treatment
Oncology Procedures
- Ablation of liver, kidney, bone and lung masses (cryoablation and microwave ablation)
- Port placement and removal
- Embolization of cancer-related bleeding
- Radioembolization of liver tumors (Y90 radioembolization)
