To start the new year, Washington Health announced its 2026 Health & Wellness program, a monthly series of complimentary online health seminars and events for the community.
For more than 20 years, the series has featured medical experts and topics that the community expressed interest in either through Washington’s Health Assessment, or discussions with local health practitioners. “Again, this year, the community let us know what areas of health and wellness are important to them,” said Kimberly Hartz, Washington Health CEO. “The Health & Wellness series is another example of how our continued growth reflects a focused investment in our community’s health. Over the past year, we expanded access to high-quality care, recruited world-class providers, and introduced new medical services to meet the evolving needs of our patients. Patient education is also a top priority.”
From innovations in surgical care, to diabetes management and the highly regarded Celebration of Life for cancer survivors and loved ones, the upcoming Health & Wellness series will address many topics. This year, the online seminars take place on Saturdays, 10 a.m., on YouTube.com/@washington_health. For those who miss the live presentation, the video will also be added to the YouTube Washington Health library of videos featuring health care experts.
Digital Online Catalog
For community members not on their email list, Washington Health is promoting the series in a digital catalog available on their website, WashingtonHealth.com/Catalog. While previous issues of the catalog were printed and mailed to Health Care District residents, the digital format supports sustainability and allows the community hospital to be a good steward of financial resources.
Printed copies will be available at medical offices of Washington Health Medical Group physicians and throughout the Washington Health campus, including the recently opened Urgent Care center.
The twice-monthly series kicked off January 10, with a presentation, “Keeping Kids Healthy with Vaccines” featuring pediatrician Shilpa Sulochana, MD. The current series runs through June.
